Webinar software comparison: WebinarJam vs Google Meet

WebinarJam vs Google Meet: features

WebinarJam is browser-based and has no downloadable application currently. While events can be hosted from any device, there is no dial-in option for attendees. Google Meet is accessible from a browser or app. WebinarJam’s main promotional feature is a branded registration page, but they do not allow custom fields. As for Google Meet, it offers a helpful built-in reminder email tool but provides no social sharing buttons. WebinarJam offers a wide suite of activation features, like chats, polls, and CTAs. With that said, users cannot react in real-time with emojis, which may impact engagement. Google Meet offers chats, polls, and surveys as well but lacks CTA buttons to activate audiences. WebinarJam offers some basic analytics features and supports event recording. However, these recorded events cannot be automatically shared with participants. Google Meet, meanwhile, offers a useful registrant activity dashboard but does not have webinar automation or on-demand webinar capabilities.

WebinarJam vs Google Meet: integrations

Though WebinarJam does not offer a vast amount of native integrations, it does have a few like Mailchimp, Drip, and Keep. Google Meet, meanwhile, provides a variety of integrations, such as TurboHire, Google Workspace, and Clickshare Conference. Developers may appreciate WebinarJam's third-party API feature, which allows tech-savvy users to create their own custom integrations for the product. Google Meet also has no API. Neither WebinarJam nor Google Meet offers a public SDK, however, meaning subscribers of either platform are not able to create their own custom plugins and widgets to improve the end-user experience. Finally, while WebinarJam has no public app marketplace wherein casual browsers can investigate available options, WebinarJam subscribers will be able to see integration options in their Admin panels. Google Meet does not have its own app marketplace, either, but integrations for the product can be viewed in the Google Workspace Marketplace.

WebinarJam vs Google Meet: pricing

Anyone interested in trying WebinarJam can do so during a 14-day free trial period. Basic Google Meet is free and offers 1:1 meetings with a 24-hour duration, as well as 3-person group meetings capped at one hour. WebinarJam’s next plan is its Basic plan, which, for $499 a year, will support 500 attendees and a two-hour streaming duration. Google Meet does not offer an equivalent webinar plan, but there is the Google Workspace Individual, which starts at $7.99 per month. WebinarJam’s medium-tier plan, Professional, starts at $699 and allows users to reach up to 2000 attendees. Unfortunately, there is no medium-tier plan for Google Meet. The last plan offered by WebinarJam is its Enterprise plan. For $999 a year, this plan will support up to 5,000 attendees, six hosts, and four hours of streaming. Google Meet has a similar plan, called Google Workspace Enterprise, which supports meetings of up to 250 participants and streaming to 100,000 viewers. The price is unlisted.
